Directory submissions and the Google sandbox...

I was considering directory submissions for one of my sites that is about 2 months old (actually, the domain name is 2 years old), but I was wondering what the implications are on how Google would see the "overnight" explosion of my links. Is it a better idea to ad 1 or 2 new directory submissions per day over time or is it ok to have someone submit to...say...50 directories overnight? Wouldnt the first way be percieved as more natural to Google?

I think it would be ok to have someone submit 50 overnight, it depends how often google crawls the directories for them to index it.

Hello..Normally, the approval process takes some time. therefore, it may be okay to submit to a few directories (say, 25 or 30) per day. Since not all editors approve links quickly, it will be taking some time before the submission is approved. If you are going to use pay per inclusion, submit only 3-4 directories per day.

I would say submit to as many as possible, since who knows how long editors will take to approve your links...if ever.
