Directory Submissions - Already Listed? I Can't Find it

    Hi All,

    Just a few quick questions:

The more and more directories I submit to, the more I'm coming upon some that say I am "already listed" when I click the Submit button; however, for the life of me I can never find my listing.

Does this mean I'm just in the queue for review? Am I actually listed somewhere but too stupid to find it? Am I listed in another directory that is also controlled by the directory that I'm submitting to and therefore "tied" to all the directories in that network?

    What gives?

    Thanks guys.

If a previous submission is still in the db, then depending on the directory settings, it might return a "domain already exists" error even though you do not have a live listing.

Thanks for your help guys... That's what I thought.

My directory submission method is to first type my main keyword into the search box to see if I'm already listed or if I can find the right category right away. It's nice when the directory will show where search results are located, so if anyone in my niche is already listed I can get to the approriate category as soon as possible.

Even though I use InformEnter to speed up the process, it's still frustrating to search for the most relevant category, enter the information, click submit, and then get a "domain already exists" or other error message.

Does anyone have a manual submission strategy that they personally use that they feel is relatively painless?
