Directory submission???

    I am quite new at SEO and I am trying to understand to understand more about directory submission now. Can someone explain more what it actually is and is it effective? Thank you.

    Directory submission give you one way backlinks from it. Even you can also get link juices from it.

    Directories nowadays have less value when it comes to making your site ranked. However, it is not proven that doing directory submission will hurt your site. Good thing about this is that submitting to directories is very easy and you can find thousands of them in the internet.

    Also, let me remind you that don't focus too much in doing this because there are still some methods that you can do in building links for your site.

    Directories offer another means of acquiring links to your site. However, I highly recommend handpicking your directories. Submit to relevant and local directories if possible. Why? I've seen sites' bounce rate skyrocket from irrelevant directory traffic. Good luck.

    If done properly, directory submission can get your quality backlinks and considerable traffic.
    We have so many good directories like DMOZ and Yahoo! directory... If you manage to get list on them, you will get the spotlight of Yahoo and Google. These search engines scan their respective directories (Yahoo scans Yahoo! directory and Google scans DMOZ ) while displaying search results for user's query.

    It's easy for search engines to search you. If your website is listing in directories than you get a incoming link form this directory site. Try to listing in High PR sites. It good for you to get high page rank. May you know high page rank sites is easily earlier in search engine so you get more visitors from search engines.
