I have heard a lot about directory submission being used as a n effective SEO technique. Unfortunately, i dont know how to do it, or have the funds to get it done by someone else. Can anyone help me here ? provide me with some info or links where i can learn about directory submission ? Any input is really appreciated Thanks !
Just go to the directory site, they'll ask you details about your site,etc..fill it up and submit..that's it! You can find tons of directories list's here on DP. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25 Personally, I feel directory submission is just Time Waste.
Most directories will require you to submit following details: URL, Title, description, submitter name and submitter email You need to go to a directory, navigate to the category you think is best, press submit and fill the details for your site.
Directory submission is quickly becoming an outdated seo tactic. Previously this technique was a very easy way to build up backlinks for a new website. Now the search engines are giving less weight to links from directories. It can be very time consuming to submit to hundreds of directories. I personally don't think it's worth the effort anymore. There are much better ways to promote a website.
