If you explain exactly what you're doing when submitting then we can see what might need to be improved.

Directory submission is good when you choose PR directory, best way to create link from theme base page.

In my opinion there are 2 approaches:
    1) fast benefit: submit to highly visited/known directories and gain traffic from them
    2) long term benefit: submit to dofollow directories, gain some PR and potentially more search engine traffic

Of course better to start with directories answering both.

go to dmoz.org and search for any website listing. Di view source and you will find regular links without rel='nofollow' - that means by default is dofollow.
    same for my directory.

Can anyone tell me what qualifies as acceptable high PR? Would PR3 and above be an acceptable number, or what's the cut off? Thanks.

Well, than I have to ask you 2 questions:
    1. Please show me where in http://www.w3.org we'll find any reference to dofollow as default tag
    2. Why mention dofollow at all if there is not even nofollow tag used?

DoFollow is commonly used term beetween webmasters and SEO specialists when people refer to links without nofollow.

Only wannabies idiots "Webmasters" and "SEO Specialists" use that word.
If link doesn't call for nofollow tag, then why use something that doesn't exist?

Using do follow is as stupid as using narrative to say:
not dead man is walking down the street
    or
our preacher wouldn't use no Holy Bible

I won't ask you why no follow tag is "bad" thing because I'm sure that
you have no idea when, why and how that tag effects links but I will ask you:
if idiots start jumping from plane without parachute, are you going follow them?

    :)

fastreplies, just stop with all your BS and calling other idiots.

    And don't make assumptions
    who knows and what.

When people pronounce dofollow they mean opposite to nofollow, it just sounds better than saying "not nofollow".

Friendly note: If you don't get it doesn't means others are idiots.
