    Sir,

Submit to 10 good directory and thats it.
There is no point of submitting to 1000 directories that are not trusted and has low pr.

    trust me...

I dare to differ. Any backlinks will count.

When I work on a new keywords I always do 200-300 submissions.

It is true that not all PR0 you submit to while survive, but if only 25% of them go to PR something down the road, it is a good thing.

Well if you want to submit your site to lots of dirs then try www.directorymaximizer.com

The service is pretty good, easy to use interface and completion is quick.

I'm afraid that I also dissagree with adiadi81. ALL links are good. Forget about PR, its not the be all and end all. Potential customers looking for your products and services don't give a damn about PR or probably know what it is!

In a business sense every link is important. If one solitary link was to pass just 1 viewer to your site is that not worth it?? That person then has the potential to tell all their friends AND link back to you.

One of my competitors has over 600,000 backlinks compared to my 5000 or so(they have been in business a lot longer). I don't care too much about the quality of those 600,000 backlinks as there a bound to be some more relevant/better quality ones there but I would rather have 600,000 than 5000 wouldn't you?

Look at it this way. If you have agents for your business out there on the streets all over the world talking to people about your site/business and networking. How many people would you want talking to others about your site? 5000 or 600,000?

So in my mind all links are good. Even from directories. knock yourself out!!
