Im doing an order for a customer, before he ordered he had alot of questions asking how it works and the benefits etc.. So i explained my best. So he ended up taking 2000 submissions. Well not even the first 100 submissions were finished and he already is sending me emails everytime he receives a declination, maybe about 3 emails ive received so far. now we all know its impossible to receive 100% inclusion when submitting to directories. And i told him its normal to receive a few declinations, the normal acceptance is about 75%-80%. If you have a specialized list of a small amount of submissions im sure you can increase this #. My question is what should you tell the customer so they dont feel like their being cheated just because they receive a few declinations? I already explained to him some directories that happens.
1. Maybe his site is adult, gambling, warez, very low quality or anything similar ? That;s why he got accepted really not so often. 2. I see your thread. To proove the fact you are not cheating him you can show him screenshots for each submission. It will take really more time so you will probably need to increase prices 3. 75%-80% of acceptance is very optimitistic today. The fact is that dirs gave so many submissions cause services like yours appears new one each day approval process of dirs become more slow and more strict. Anything around 50% should be ok. That's my personal experience. 4. With 100 submissions...it's very small number to make research on this. 1000 sounds good. He may not accept in 75-80 of dirs just by case. I hope this explain everything.
Well its not the fact that it didnt get accepted so often just that he is complaining about a few declinations.
