Hello, I was submitting one of my site to the directories of list of www.addurl.nu
I submitted the site to 50 of those directories and got mail from only 20 of them. Dont all directory sends the message after submission?

 

All directories doesn't sends confirmation email. But you should get atleast 30 confirmation emails for submitting to 50 directories.

 

Not all send confirmations/ or aproval/disaprovals mails

The procentage is like 50% of them

 

yes, about 50% will send confirmation/approval emails. depends on your site's category, 40% is normal. But if it is below 30%, you'd better check it.

All directories do not have auto responders. And sometimes some mails goes to the spam folder.

What to check?

 

Has anyone noticed that quite a few of these submission sites are actually clones of each other? This makes me suspect that they are owned and operated by the same people. Do you think it is worthwhile submitting to a number of sites which are probably all hosted on the same server somewhere?

 

Exactly and ridiculously they are all listed in the list of so called "seo friendly" list.

 

All directories will not send you any emails confirmation but it will automatically approve your link without informing you.

 

i think there is no tool to check for that. you must write the url of the directories that you submit and after that you must check that after some period

 

If your link is there, manually by visiting the directories

 

I have entered to several directories and I get an average of 50% emails but most of them list my sites. It is a pain but if you are wondering if you are listed the best way is to check for yourself to see if you are listed.
