About four months ago, I paid $30 for a highly touted service to make directory submissions for one of our sites. To date, I've seen no evidence that this has been done. Does anyone know of a service that will take our basic information and manually submit it? I'm currently using a VA, just looking for a cheaper option.
Afraid not. I didn't pay all that much, and seriously it's not worth the hassle of the refund. I'm just surprised because of who was recommending them. Lesson learned.
Maybe the problem is you are lured by the cheapness of submissions instead of a true quality submission service. Directory submissions work well, but take time and that will cost you $200-$300 depending on how many submissions you want completed.
i won't trust any directory submission service actually, almost all of them is awful. Hire someone you can trust to help you manually submission.
I have discovered that most directory submission services and people who do such things are not worth any price. Most just submit to some network they or one of their buddies own. A network that no one ever sees or visits. Or they have a list of crap directories that again no one really visits.
Some services just offer submission, not guarantee approved. but we can give u approved link at cheap rate. we will submit link in directory in manually way.
hi aldash, there are many members in DP service forum offering directory submissions. Go through their threads, check their reputation. Then hire them and ask them to do submission on some basic criteria like "submit only to directories which are one year old", "only to pr3+ sites", "make sure all directories are in different c class ips". If possible ask them for a screenshot of their submission, this will cost a bit higher but you can verify their submission. hire someone ad stick with him/her for long term and they will give you great services.
Personally I would be wary of any submission service guaranteeing approvals. This says to me that they own the directory network or the list they submit to has poor editorial practises. Highly touted and only charging $30, c'mon what did you expect, sometimes more is more. As far as a recommendation for a good service I cannot give you one, I can give a list of what I consider rubbish ones though from personal experience.
I heard the same complain around. The problem with directory submission, its easy to create a report about it. You can just send to the client the direct URL where you link will be place. If you want to monitor whether they really submit it, you have to get the email account of the staff who works the task to see if there's confirmation/verification message sent. You'll able to track whether they submit your site or not.
