Directory submission question

Is it worth submitting to directories with PR0? or should one just skip them and start from PR 1 or 2?

    Thanks

If they are free, you have nothing to lose. You can submit to them. And if your link is permanent it can become a PR 2 3 or more within time.
Not much, and not fast. But surely free and with nothing to lose.

If you let them go and if they get PR4 next update?

You miss the ride with them.

If you have time go ahead, if you don't have time you may limit to some PR

    Thanks

Always do if they are free! If they are 0 they are mostly free but once they get certain amount of sites and some ranking you usually have to pay. So get in early and benefit down the road.

A LINK is a LINK. If they are FREE --you always get a backlink to improve link popularity of your site and thus improve your SERPs.:)- albeit little bit.

The free PR0 directory you submit to today may be a paid PR4/5 site the next update.

of course worth it in the long run
also means you get good placement if you are first in and the directory owner has the listings sorted by date added :)

If it's free and it's a good domain (not a expired or unrelated to directory),I'd submit right away.
It depends on the prices if it's paid.
    Ya know,every directory starts with a PR0.

True. Also, if its free now, it might not be free after the next PR update. So get yourself submitted to as many directories as you can!

I submit to tons of new, PR0 directories. After a couple of PR updates some of them become paid directories, and my link is already on there on a good-PR inner page. I have seen this happen many times. It's worth the effort. Plus, you are helping a fellow DPer get started with his new, free-for-now directory. Submit away! You and the owner of the new directory are helping each other.

It is a matter of choice. In the time you submit your websites to directories you can create content and write articles. But my opinion is that it worths. You can get great backlinks in 6 months for example and a BOOM in your earnings.:)

PR0 means nothing on a new site until the first update. It should really be:
    PR n/a (not available)
I've had directories go to PR3 and PR4 atr first update.

    If it's free...I would submit...else definitely not.

I have paid for new directories in the past, but only because I knew the owner and trusted his marketing and link building capabilities.
