    I have a website and I want to do seo for it. But directory submission is important for seo while most of the people use search engines?

    Goggling is the Best Option to get Any Stuff What ever you Want Directory , Bookmarking ,Forum , Profile Etc. Just Use Specific Key Words and get your Exact Need :)

    Firstly don on page for the website and after that start off page activities like directory submission, social bookmarking, blog commenting, article submission etc.

    Of course,the directory submission is need.Now the latest penguin update the directory submission the back links is also to increase the page rank of search engine.Social bookmarking,blog are important.

    You need both directory submission and search engine submissions for your website. Also lots of other activities to build links.

    Your question is not accurate. you asking directory submission then saying lots of people use search engine . if you do directory submission so you get back links and if you have good websites back links so Google search engine will show your keyword on top.
