    Directory submission is the best way to attain high ranks and still important on new google algorithm. This the best way as prescribed by google itself but if we do directory submission on high pr sites then it will be more beneficial as compared to other sites rather it takes time to approve but it gives quality and permanent backlinks. Directory submission is on high priority to social bookmarking submission and forums etc.

    If you're submitting to directories that are of quality and are not just a bunch of spammy "free directories", then yes, there is still significance in submitting to directories.

Also, Directories used for submitting play a huge role for the success of a website since these directories determine the amount of visitors.

    Make sure directory submission is not the only linkbuilding method you use. It should a part of your wider linkbuilding strategy. Select directories wisely and alwyays do submissions manually. Remember there are thousands of QBC directories out there which serves no benefits.
