Directory Submission is still important on new google algorithm

I would submit only to good directories and not too many of them.

 

It is not just about adding link to the directory but what is more important is to make sure that google will find our link. If we do that, then it is worth to spend the time on directory submission. If we don't have time for linking to directories, then it is worth only to add valuable directories - as the rest of it is just waste of time.

 

directory submission is not important..I never used any directories just submit your site to google and use google webmasters.

 

To submit your site to google you don't need to submit to any directory, but to gain rank on google directory links are good

 

because I stop doing directory submission because other says it is useless to submit but when i read all your thoughts here i finally know that it is still important to get links, traffic and permanent ranking on directory sites.

 

Quality link directory is important, but not as Bob Mutch suggested. He listed those directories, because he get some discount from directory owners.

As i think directory submission is always important but this will be effective only in case of quality work, means if you are submitting your website in quality directory then all be useful for your website.
