It is still important to used directory submission sites? Especially for a new algorithm of Google..

 

Directory submission is an easy and natural way of link building. It's definitely worth in submitting your website in niche directories having high Domain Authority.

directory submission should be part of every link building campaign. good part about it is that once you submit to a directory, you dont have to do it anymore. so its more like a one time link building method to a certain list of directories. do it once and then don't worry about it anymore.

No profit via directory ,but favor the dofollow directories for website. Only two or three times, i have search and get the wrong information in directory.Therefore my first preference is search than forum.

free directory submissions i find are completely useless in terms of seo value. often times, these free directories are spammed with bad neighborhood links and are not human reviewed. so...be cautious of where you get your directory listings from.

 

Yes Google love it. The link their is natural as the directory web site's main intention is to provide a relevant web site index to the visitors.

Very little importance, unless it's a genuine authority site. As it's a directory, Google looks to why it should trust the vote for the link. So it needs things like authority, not to accept every link (i.e. isn't full of links to spammy sites, unlike the auto-accept directories).

Natural??? Very unnatural, really.

Google doesn't really recommend it, but gives advice on how to best handle it. It's a big difference, really.

High velocity of any link type for new sites can have a negative impact. What's better - stop and start with cr@p spam such as directory links, comment spam, etc, or 5-10-15 good quality links each day? (You have to consider that not all of them will be indexed on that day, it might take a while.)
