Directory site using wordpress.

I have a job of building a directory listing site with wordpress, if there is any plugin that could do that pls let me know. I tried a few and dint work on wordpress 3.4.1
Pls help

Check the compatibility of the plugin with the latest version before you use it, some have been discontinued. But it's better if you just buy a theme that does this for you.

Just getting a directory plugin is not easy to set up the site. If you are comfortable with editing your theme then you can go for plugins.

Otherwise, It is easy to buy a directory theme like directorypress

 

You can use plugin like wp table reloaded, it is an awesome plugin

 

You can either use a plugin, or try the buzzler theme from sitemile
