Anyone have a list of like 10-50 examples of SERPS that directories try to rank for? I cannot see anyone googling anything to bring up a directory as the number one result, unless you were a webmaster googling "directory", in which the big sites are incomparable.
Yes web directory owners do some SEO for : web directory strong directory quality directory Bidding web directory internet directory and so on.
to add to above: premium web directory links directory niche directory regional directory... and so on
Not really sure what you're asking here, I think directory owners would try to rank their own site. But as an example of listing your site in a directory for serps, if you searched for: UK Mast Climbing and Scaffolding You'll see the listing in my directory is #1 for BFT Scaffolding and Mast Climbing Ltd, and their own listings are #2 and #3.
i dont think that there is difference between a normal site serp and directory serp. i think directory owners is getting links with the anchor text like "web directory" , "directory" . it's a result of anchor txt
Yep and no one really wants to give away their best keywords because that would mean more traffic. Use one of the adwords tools to find out what related keywords are good to bid for and you can figure out many of the good ones that way.
