Is it worth buying those "Your link submitted to 897,000 search engines, directories and links pages" Are those legit? Do they work? Should i stay away, or have you had a good experience with them?
No, there aren't that many. Just focus on the main 3 (maybe 4 or 5, depending on your perspective). In this order: Google, Yahoo, MSN (Live). Most traffic comes from Google and Yahoo.
Are there even 1000's of search engines in existence? I don't even bother submitting to the search engines, period. Just write some articles with a link to my site in the resource box, or any other way of creating back links to my site so the search engines spider my site naturally. Spend your hard earned money on something more worthy and efficient.
No you will not get anything else than losing some money. The first things is that there are XXXXX Search Engines but u can get traffic from only few.(So we all target Google,MSN & Yahoo) Second is that if u build huge backlinks fast than SEs will mark them as spam and add red flag. So I recommend manual link building with care.
That's an awful lot of SEs. Where did you get that? Anyway, don't let yourself confused ad just concentrate on the top three (MSN, Google, Yahoo). That's sure fire!
Thanks guys for the input.... Is it worth submitting to a couple of few hundred "High PR" Directories?
That's kind of debatable. Even though a directory may be "High PR", the page your link is put on will have very low PR, if any. A while ago I tried spending some time submitting my site to directories, and personally I feel article marketing is more efficient and more worth my time. Some directories take weeks or months to approve your site, if they ever do. Also if they require a link back from your site it's probably not worth it. Just my opinion mind you.
