Just curious if anyone else is getting chargebacks from:

    commercemallserver (dot) com

One of the chargebacks is just under six months old. At what point does PayPal assume the buyer has responsibility? Ten years? lol

Providing you have clearly stated that you charge for a review which is non refundable and they have read this you will easily win.

PayPal invariably backs the buyer, the chances of you winning is close to zero.

PayPal allows charge backs for up to 6 months I believe, so it looks like your customer has had 6 months of being listed on your site, then did the charge back to get the time they were listed for free.

    @ Mikey1090

My policy is to refund the fee, but this is not clearly defined. I will spend some time writing a more detailed policy of refunds to deal with situations like this.

    @wayner

I've only won a single PayPal dispute and that was over five years ago. And yes, this listing did take advantage of PayPal's generous refund policy. There's no way "unauthorized" access on his PayPal account went unnoticed for nearly six months. Especially since he charged back a second submission submitted after that as well.

Rather then fight this, I issued the refund. The two listings that were charged back are now in the banned list.

Paypal does not moderate disputes which don't involve tangible objects - If the dispute gets escalated over a intangible object paypal immediately closes the dispute.

I recently went through the process with a couple articles I purchased that ended up not being unique. When I called paypal they told me I was basically s.o.l.

    Hello...

Dont believe we have ever had any submit from them but will be on the lookout ;)

Rather then ban the domain why not just change the listing to accommodate the cause ....
let the world know about them and their tricks :p just a thought ...lol

    thx

The seller shall have the option to set the time limit how long the buyer can charge back.

I had a chargeback from this person yesterday, the charge was from early April of this year. There is zero chance of winning one of these disputes with Paypal since it's an intangible product. I just refunded the money and deleted his link from my directory.

Why not post all his details over here.
Can save a lot of time, just deleting his links and refunding him, instead of the paypal charge back process.
