I was thinking of creating a site similar to this one verifiedlive.com but for directories only. I thought of confirming the owners information via phone call and having all directory owners that register agreeing to a directory code of ethics via email type signature. I am not sure exactly how a company like this would get involved in disputes or keep records of them. What do you think of this idea? What would be some of the problems with a service like this? Should I try and get a few directory owners together to launch this type of site? Or should this only be done by non-directory owners? thanks
Well, if you ask me I would tell you that I already have many guidelines and rules to follow and to create an extra one is going to make me sick. But it will add some benefits at least, so far I don't see much interest in this idea . Maybe it is not the right time.
I have signed up for a similar idea its currently free to sign up and customers can submit reviews of there experience on your site. Something like having an SSL cert for your website. Check it out http://www.ratepoint.com/business?rf=0507077906
JG123...might take a look at the following post: http://www.directory-owners.com/general/3281-assoc-directory-owners.html Just FYI...some folks were discussing this same idea recently. tom
There is no question that there is a need to start formalising this industry, setting standards and most important of all making directory owners accountable. All it takes is enough people who share a common purpose and if there are others I am there.
