Directory Question

Im a total newbie, but have a question about free directory scripts or paid.

Can you mess around in Dreamweaver and submit links and use all of the functionality of the Directory script without it being live? I have some testing I would like to do and I dont have a host or anything.

Anyone?

 

I guess you could set it up on a local hosted server.

 

imo you should set up a host first,
once you set up well and then announce on other sites, it's okay.

 

Install : http://www.wampserver.com/en/

and test any script free.

 

If your going to play around with the script as others have said use wamp or set it up on a hosted test server.

XAMPP is also a good option for a local server.
