Directory Project - Giving away all proceeds

    Ok,

From now until a week before Christmas, I'd like to spend all my directories money on buying things for care packages to send overseas... To raise income from $5, I'd like to promote this...

My question, has any directory owner done something like this where they promise to give away the earnings? If so, how did they prove it?

    Thanks..

Hi tarponkeith, admirable that your doing that, especially on the run up to christmas, when most people get greedy, im not sure of the best way of proving that your doing it.

Thanks for the support guys, but it's not like I'd be giving that much money up...

The site brings in about 2-3 submissions per month, usually at $2.10 each (after paypal fees)... Totaling $4-$6/month...

It would be neat to get $50 or so before that, so I could sent a box with a couple hooter calendars, honey roasted peanuts, and hand warmers...

I wonder if there's a way to let someone have restricted access to the paypal account, so they can only look and make sure no money's being withdrawn... Thanks for the support, but any ideas?

EDIT: I just had an idea! But in case this idea falls through, if someone knows if the restricted paypal access is possible, please PM me or post here...

A few months ago Hasan (dirjournal) and Asim (elegant directory) ran a promotion where all proceeds went to a relative who was ill and needed treatment.

I submitted about 5 or 6 sites at the time. If its a trusted DP member, you can rely on them to not make something up, but a paypal screenshot to proove where funds were sent, a letter from the charity thanking you for the donation, some sort of confirmation makes nice proof:)

    Ok guys,

Let me know if you think this is a good idea... In early December, I'll paypal all the revenue from the directory to an established DP directory guy (that's willing to help), I'll also add a couple bucks for shipping... The established guy will buy the stuff on the list and box it up and ship it to my POC (point of contact) overseas... when the POC gets the box, he lets me know...

That way, DPers know that the box was sent, because it's from someone other then me, and I know the box got there...

    Good? Bad? Thanks :)
