I wanted to build a directory website. here's my site www.jomtuition.com and i wanted to copy this site www.myprivatetutor.my. Directory Press do not have custom field for each category for listing submission. For example, tutor has different field; tutor name, location and subjects teach. As for student, there will be a different field; parents name, children name, location, subject require etc. My questions are: 1. Can someone design it for me and how much? 2. I've talked to support and they said they don't have that features in wordpress. If so, should I change to joomla? Can joomla do it? What template and extension should I use? Thanks in advance.
You do not have to change, this can be done in Wordpress as long as you are using the open source community version available at wordpress.org. If you are using .com than you cant. With that said, what you are looking for is pretty specific, and so it is unlikely that you are going to find it available on any CMS solution. You will need to hire someone to custom create that for you. Cost/time is going to depend on what all the features you need are. Have you wireframed your site or put together any kind of feature list / road map? Specifics are key here if you want and accurate proposal.
