Should directories be another module in a web site such as in Skillipedia or Yahoo:) , or should there be only a web directory such as most web directories?

    Cheers

I personally prefer directories that are part of a website but I have no idea why. :)

I am just trying to look big compared to yahoo to whom I didn't find smaller size.

How knows! They might be feeling the heat before we , even , started.

Part of a site has to be the way to go as Google cracks down on directories.

I can see Google taking actions against the proliferation of directories of mass listings (DML... coined here ) . Google rates web sites by their original content: Directories only list web sites. That's why webmasters should add extra features such blog, forums, etc.

Good point, maybe just adding a latest news section on every page.

More SEO Power if its integrated into the website vs. being on its own.

ultimately, G will see your link profile to determine your site is worth being ranked high with high PR, so it doesn't too much matter if you get strong backlinks.

But forum and blogs can reinforce your on-page SEO, and that can be very helpful.
