I am attaching a small niche directory to an existing blog and will be charging companies to get reviewd and listed in the directory. Anyone know of a good payment service to easily accept payment on submissions? Or is Paypal the best?

Paypal is the best option because they accept all forms of payment and the person does not need a paypal account to order your service.

I'd have to go with payapl as well. While they do charge a small fee, they are basically the closest thing to owning a merchant account without the real merchant expenses.

[Just to join the bandwagon] Paypal is definitely the best. Most webmasters + people that submit to directories have it, or are familiar with it enough to use it to process their credit card payment. Plus it's simple & easy to use. The fee's are charged on a per-transaction basis, which is handy especially when first starting a directory [it will usually take a while before you start getting regular paid links].
