But I am not so desperate to promote my directories in exchange of my privacy. And I can see that --lots of others think like me too.

If you just said --which DP members owned which directory- I might have gone for it. But...

jhnrang, you are entitled to your opinion which I respect, privacy is an issue where the internet is concerned.

However, it is this same privacy shield which has invited and allowed the QBC's to enter and saturate this industry. It is this privacy shield which protects them and allows them to lurk in the shadows, ripping off people and moving on, ripping off people and moving on. This whether we like it or not has a negative effect on all of us, no matter how big or small your directory is.

You may be right, there may be many who do not wish to associate themselves with their directories (and I guarantee that it is not just privacy holding them back), but on the flip side and based on the demand I think there are also quite a few who are prepared to associate themselves with their work.

Also, lets not forget that this was a request, I wasn't forcing anyone

Now as I said, I am not going to divuldge any information relating to my project and it is because of this which makes it hard for you to envisage where I am taking this information and what I am doing. But I would ask that you reserve your judgement for when you do get to see the end result of my labour because I honestly think that what I am working on may, just maybe, make you think a little differently. We will see
