www.directoryconvention.com is going to be the official site, kind of a placeholder right now, but being designed.

I am setting up a section at my forum for those who want to help with some of the organization, sponsor, or have some good input. Teamwork is a must, but we´re going to do this!

We are in talk with several hotel owners now in both Santa Teresa, Costa Rica (number 4 spot for surfing in the whole world) as well as in San Jose which is the capital. I personally prefer to have the convention held in Santa Teresa, because we all need to be where we can kick it for a few days, have a relaxed athmosphere, learn a lot and party a little bit (except some of us who do a little more ).

Anyhow, we have until December to make this the best event of the year.

Anybody interested in making suggestions or help in any way, shape or form, feel free to do so.

Also we will have a few select sponsors on board.

The official site is going to be www.directoryconvention.com and the logo is done courtesy of one of the leaders in the Globalwarming awareness2007 seo contest. (Help him out if you can. )

 

Costa Rica would be better. You'd also have to weigh the advantages of having the convention too far from the airport. After travelling from all over the globe it may be one added hurdle which could turn off some valuable people because this is about business right? .

That being said I'm more into going to the beach; my logic if I'm going all the way to CR for a 1 or 2 day convention... I'm going for a week and chilling out so the better the location the better.
