Who here is from London, UK? I am having problems with my 'partner' from London, who has been ignoring me for the past few weeks. He was supposed to send me the money he owes me by Western Union but he hasn't given me the details (the MTCN). What do you guys advise me to do?

The guy I'm talking about is Loredan. I asked him to send me the money back in March/April, he was supposed to send it by international bank transfer, I have all bank statements and no money coming from him has entered my accounts. 2 months ago, I kindly asked him to send the money via Western Union, I gave him my address and he said he sent the money. The following day he gave me a wrong code, I went to WU and the people there told me the code was wrong. Ok, I figured, I'll ask him to send the money again, so that's what I did. Last week he told me he sent the money but he doesn't have the code. So I've been waiting for over a week and a half for him to tell me the damn code! First he lied that he sent me the money via bank wire, then he gave me the wrong code and now he's ignoring me..

He owes me $700, we were partners, because Romanian paypal accounts are limited to send only, I asked people to send money directly in his account. I've been waiting for almost 6 months! It's time I take action! Could anyone pay him a visit? He is online and posting on DP every single day but he keeps ignoring me.. I don't know what else to do.. :(

    Please help!

+44 is the extension I believe, I called him and used to talk to him last year. This has been a long term relationship between us that went wrong when I needed the money. He changed completely after I told him to send the money he owes me..

This is what he wrote on yahoo messenger, he said it's his mobile phone:
    [phone number removed]

Also, whois tells a different adress: http://whois.domaintools.com/yhay.com But he told me that he recently moved and the adress from the first post is the new one.

I called him every day, pm's, offline messages on yahoo.. He simply ignores me. He is a good guy, but for some reason he won't send me my money. :)

Loredan, this is your last chance to clear your reputation! Send me my damn money and stop ignoring me! We used to be friends and partners..

Yeah, he seemed to me OK too. Paid for my job I did for him without any problem... Really strange case.
I believe $700 is not worth of loosing reputation.

+44 is the UK extension, though UKers will get away with just 0.

I am not making this stuff up, we have a really long term thing going on here. We started a small network of directories back in Aug '06 and even the directories forum is a partnership between the two of us. I have most of the logs from the yahoo messenger, they are in Romanian but can be translated by someone trusted here.. Don't judge people by their reputation, sometimes it doesn't mean anything. I only wish I could be in London and pay him a nice visit. Meet him face-to-face.. silly thing is that I actually trusted a guy that I've never met.

The voice mail actually says Marius.. that's his name, Marius Loredan Popa. You can check whois data.

    Hello everyone,

Well...I've never been forced in my whole life to give any sort of explanations to anyone specially on a public forum.
Most of what Razvan said it is true but here is my version of the story.
I've meet this guy about one and a half years ago and we soon become friends and start making some plans together. The plans materialized on a network of a few sites which we ran pretty effective for a few months. Needless to say that due to his incapability of making and accepting payments by paypal I was the one paying for everything (web hosting, domains, scripts, etc...) I was happy just to have him, a 16 years old kid to look after minor changes (changing a logo, upgrading, posting on our forum, etc...) Razvan asked me to allow him to use my paypal address in order to run some of his other ventures online which I accepted thinking that I would help a kid to fulfill his online business dreams.
Last years I've been in Denmark for a couple of months and I totally neglected the sites. Due to this fact all off them went down and lost all their PR . In february I've start working on them by myself while this guy was busy at school. I also paid people to do things I wasn't able to do. One day in May or so this guy came back again and was very happy to see all sites having their PR back and running properly. All this time the promotion has been done by myself (and I think you realize what promotion means in terms of money). Also a lot of mods were installed at my own costs. The last few months every time I was asking him to do a job for OUR sites he said was tired from school which let's say it is understandable so as I said I've paid other people to work on our sites. Realizing that this sort of unhappy "partnership" does not benefit me and knowing that he wants to get a good PR and then to sell I agreed with his selling proposal just to finish what we have started together and to carry on with my own projects. Then he came and asked for $2000 - his part of business - as he said. He also said If I'm not giving him $2000 after the PR update he might ask for more. What? what for? since february when I start from zero again he didn't helped me at all apart from posting on our forum. Also he barely reviewed any submissions all this time. More than that he start setting up his own projects on the hosting account which was only for the sites we have together. In about a month I've seen about 8 new sites which I never knew off on my hosting account. I've asked him to remove all his sites and changed the passwords on all of them except the forum if I remember well.
About 10 days ago I stopped talking to him after a sort of fight on messenger when he told me he would like more than 50% when we will sell as he posted more than me on our forum!!! As I never fancied dealing with such a greedy person I said enough and I stopped answering his messages. All I want now is to get rid off this "partnership" and I'll be happy when this time comes.
Regarding the money issue he mentioned above...
A few months ago I did sent him $500 (not $700 as he stated) by bank transfer in Romania. For some reason the transfer didn't finalized which is not my fault. From my bank I've been told is going to take 14 working days for the transfer to be completed. After more than 30 working days Razvan told me the money are not in his account, been to my bank and they said the money are in the romanian bank. We agreed to wait a bit longer maybe the transfer will be sorted out. After a few other days we agreed to ask my bank to cancel the transfer and send me back the money which I did. Meanwhile he told me that actually he wants $600 and not $500 - some more accurate calculations :) and also agreed that money should be sent by Western Union. I didn't sent the money straight away as the other money sent by bank transfer didn't came back to my account and I wanted to make sure they will, before I will send another $600. Otherways I would have had $1100 out of my account without being sure that I will ever see the first $500 back.
When money has been sent there were some silly things as he told me to send on his brother name with a different address from where he lives. I've send the money on that address but with his name as I couldn't remeber his brother's name at the time I was at the WU office. Anyway...sent him the code he went the next day and he said the code or either the details are not good as he wasn't able to get the money. To be honest I didn't believe the story and I've sent him 2 or 3 screenshots of the WU receipt . He also tried several other times and not being able to get the money he told me to go to the WU office to check and to asked them to send me my money back and then to resend. It took about 2 weeks to get the money back into my account and meanwhile $600 became $700 due to some other business he did using my paypal. When I get the money back we agreed to send again by WU which I did and the day I've send the money we had that sort of fight on messenger when he asked more than 50% in case we'll sell the forum. The very next day I went back to WU telling them to cancel the transaction as I won't send any money until all the sites built in "partnership" will be sold and all the problems sorted out.
This is my story on the subject. Now Razvan can confirm all I've said above (or not). As it is very embarassing for me to do this in front of so many people I should stop here.
Just to let everyone knows that my reputation I've built on these forums is genuine, if is any other person who thinks I've tried to scam him or didn't pay please feel free to post in here. I have an 100% iTrader and 100% reputation on Ebay (check : loredann) and on any other forums I've ever been. I have a master degree, I'm a teacher by profession and I run a pretty succesfull business in real life so these $700 which is about £330 means nothing to me. I'm not a 17 years boy dreaming to get rich on the internet thats why perhaps I understand my "partner's" impulse to write this post. I'd like my "partner" to remember that in a few other ocasions I bought goods from Ebay and posted then to Romania at my own costs and also made little $50 gifts like the script is running on your iFun site.
These being said, I would like to thank you for taking time in reading this and I'll let everyone judge the matter. As I don't feel comfortable writing about the subject I won't post any other words in this thread.

    I'm sorry for the circus

    Loredan

loredan i dont think that you are trying to scam him.., but since $700 is his money and has no direct relation with your partnership, so i think that you should send him his money asap and this case will be closed.

That was a one big read Loredan!!! The way i see it you should probably end your partnership if you dont want to continue but it would be better if you sort the matters out in private and send him the money (wahtever u both agree upon)..

Wish you both best of luck!

I live in Ongar, Essex, which is about 30 mins away in car. Not sure what anyone can do though? Not saying Loredan would need to lie, but I know lots of people who do claim to live in London but rent virtual space, get a redirect number even though they may really live in Brazil or something. Hope you guys sort it out but it might be a good idea to sort it out in private as its no-one else's business.

    Good luck.
