    phpLD does not support ISAPI
I am not aware any applications that support both isapi and mod rewrite. Some may exist, but I've never seen one.

Just to give an example, this would be comparable to running an seo mod for vbulletin or phpbb, and asking to switch it over to isapi rather than mod rewrite.

I'm not sure if your particular situation requires you to stay on the same server or not. For example, maybe you are creating a directory to use for link exchanges on your existing site as a subfolder, or maybe you are just creating a directory in the root.

I know right now, iowadog (user on DP) is offering free hosting for phpLD users. I would suggest you change your hosting rather than try to use ISAPI. Even if you are dependant on an existing domain, maybe an alternative would be to setup a sudomain like directory.yoursite.com and run that from a different server.

Finally, I might ask, is rewriting the urls THAT important? For example, this very forum you are using now is not using mod rewrite, and seems to be doing great! :)

    Fair point about this site!

I'm using it as a Link Exchange for a site, so the directory is in a sub folder....

Will people still use it though if it's not "SEO Friendly"??

I would say yes, especially after you gain pagerank in your directory.
I have a number of directories that do not use seo friendly urls that did fine in the past, but I can't speak for recent experiences. And as I was saying you could run a subdomain on a different server, though I wonder if it is really worth thre trouble.

To be honest, I'm not sure how I would run a subdomain on another server! lol
