I wish there was a Mod for this.

    What about this idea...

Directory submission company will be able to submit free links to my directories IF they place my link in the frontpage of their site (sitewide) They will be allowed 30 links per month (quality sites) and will be given a code (Alpha-Num) to place in the name field so I will be able know who they are.

Any directory owners already implemented this idea? If so, do you have a mod for this?

If you are a submission service company reading this, PM me and I will give you a code to place in the Name field of the submission form and I will want to see my link in the front page of your site.

    Thanks for reading this.

That kind of implies a preferential acceptance rate. What if the submission company specialises in spammy submissions? I mean, are you talking about 30 accepted links per month, or just 30 submissions, some of which may be rejected?

The idea of setting up something special for good submission companies has some appeal. But the trouble is, there are so many bad submission companies out there, and very few good ones who can be relied on to write submissions that generally comply with a directory's guidelines.

You are really on the right track, but my opinion on this is that submission services are not doing this service for free and the folks who are paying them are taking a big gamble on wether the money they spend is being put to good use or not.

I've been working with a couple of submission services where I give a price break on my premium links when they submit in bulk. It's working out well for both the submission service and the site owners. Site owners get better positions in my directory and the submission service gets the kudos for getting the site accepted + a dollar or two. My acceptance policy is not comprimised since the submission service only pays for the sites I accept.

The advantage to my directory should be obvious. :)
