    Hi everyone,

    I own DirectoryNetwork.com. It's a sleeping website.

Is there any good ideas outthere for that premium Domain Name?

Thanks for your ideas and comments.

You might be able to create a toplist of directory networks that close in their first year of operation. Other then that, I see little value in such a domain.

A toplist would be stupid. Create a directory of the best web directories.

You'll make money. If web directories are serious, they'll pay to enlist. Eventually then you can also go paid-only. :)

That's an idea, I think what would be good is to set up a forum and a community for people who own directories, like for general discussion and things. As well as being a directory of the best web directories it would also be of help to directory owners.

By the way, I personally think that's a really good domain name, I'd hang on to it if I were you ;)

make this domain as Directory of Directories, include free, paid, bid, deeplinks, lists etc in the directory, to make is more valuable.

That is what I was thinking too. Just make a well laid out and edited list of directories with it.

That would be one really big list of dead links.

Should you decide to create a directory of directories determine what criteria should be used to define a true premium quality directory and apply it strictly to submissions. This won't initially win you many friends and you will have to search out directories which fit your criteria to 'salt' your content. The forum and/or blog could be focused on what is or isn't quality.

As with anything worthwhile it would require lots of sweat, blood and tears with no guarantee of financial success but one can never know without trying.

You can create a directory catalog that only list up the other directories along with their their features like PR, Alexa, Free or Paid types etc. It can help people and may also help you in building traffic that can be later converted to some cash (money).

Or better yet he can visit Announcement Forum every day
and use it to compile his list using dead on arrival directories.

One thing for sure if he do that, his list will be the biggest list
of already or coming next month dead directories with at least
100,000 entries. The best part, he won't have to review them.

    ;)
