This is a very interesting idea, and I'm taking a wild guess, but I think the search engines may love it. Or they'll hate it. I would bet in a year your PR will be either 6 or 2.

right now my main domain is PR4, and mark8t has only been up 3 months. I am expecting big things :) I hope to help webmsaters get the word out about their sites in a respectful manner and it seems to be working. So far Yahoo has taken to it. Google has a been a little slower. I guess we'll see. I'm not going anywhere soon.

This is a really good idea, I like the concept. I do wish you a lot of luck though keeping things real. Hopefully, it will be a success.

Added my directory to the distinguished mix.

    All the best!

Thanks for the plug and support. I hope to attract some more volunteers to keep the quality high. The amount of subimissions has certainly taken a spike, now it's a matter of driving traffic from users.

    Gday jamesplato.

It is an interesting idea, if not altogether new. I was introduced to Wikidweb, a couple of years back, and I thought it was a superb idea back then. Essentially because it puts a twist on the normal directory and therefore longevity is built-in to the foundation of the directory through its ability to increase content levels.

The directory should do very well, if Wikidweb is anything to go by, but I think you need to encourage your users to take advantage of the ability to generate a lot more unique content on their individual page.

I will add this to the Info Vilesilencer directory list, as I believe its directories like this, that will keep the industry alive and kicking.

    Well done :)

Wow I am really impressed by Wikiweb. I had never heard of them before. I think however our target markets are different. Mark8t Wiki Links is meant to be a faster way for webmastes to get the word out about their sites. Webmasters for webmasters (in a way). I think most people don't care to create user pages and that's fine by me (I don't even have one). In my view this allows for more space for people to add their links-which is the main goal. Thanks again for your support. I really like your directory as well ;)

thanks. I find that most people seem not to get the alphabet very well. most of the time, we need to reorganize things around because people won't take the extra second to realize A comes before H. I have almost had to have a zero tolerance policy of deletion when people do not follow the rules. but it's a bigger hassle than it's worth... oh well.

While adding a couple, I edited some out of order sites as well. Everyone should do that and help keep this thing looking good!

Do you have a backup of each page before it gets edited just in case someone goes nuts?
