i recently purchased a directory, www.LQQK4.com, anyhow so far i've just been redoing the site a bit, and figuring out how things work. I have a couple hundred dollars to market the site, i would like to increase PR of the site, especially the internals, and also get some traffic incoming. Any ideas?
Home page links are costly, but most sites offer standard or featured links at reasonable rates that can positioned in a category that matches your site market or product market
I'd buy ads on webmaster forums. Doing so will bring in more signups, plus webmasters will likely ad your directory to their own directory lists (the massive ones that some threads occasionally spawn), and that will bring in more signups and more links from others. Tom
Get the site listed in so many 'Directories' Lists out there. You should be getting a lot of links like this. Start threads here and on other forums to get people to submit theie websites. The site is PR 4 and it should already be getting a steady amount of traffic to it. I'd suggest you shouldnt try any paid advertising unless you've exhausted all the un-paid options.
thanks, ive determined that i'll mostly be working on the site via submiting to other directories, working on getting into those lists, posting on various forums, buying sitewides on other directories and popular blogs, and finally buying a couple sigs from people within forums. I'm also going to develop some addons to the dir which will make it a bit unique.
