I have been submitting my web site link to a lot of link directory pages that do not show up as indexed by Google when I copy and paste the directory page url in the Google searchbox. When I click on "Search", the results come back as "No Results Found" for (page url) or "Your search (page url) did not match any documents". However, when I put the command site: in front of the url, the page shows up as indexed by Google. My questions are: 1. Why do these directory pages not show up as being indexed when I search on just the directory page url alone from the Google search box? 2. Are links on pages that have a greyed out toolbar that says "No PageRank information available" of any value? - Julie
in google try to put site:yoursitename.com you will see how many pages of your site are indexed Regards Alex
Web directories are usually not quality backlinks and give little weight PR & SEO wise, remember a page bleeds out its PR to "ALL" outbound links that do not contain the "nofollow" tag, this includes internal links.
