Directory Inspiration, a directory showcase site

I just setup a showcase site only for directory. I would like to make the site as an inspiration for anyone who want to create a directory. So, only unique and nice design will be accepted. Site using free template won't be accepted.

Now I am assuming *all* designs must be or original artwork and no pre-made template crap etc.. etc.. correct?

Submitted my Strictly CSS (http://www.strictlycss.com) directory. Valid XHTML and CSS, no tables except from where tabular data are presented. Programmed and designed by me. I guess I can call it original.

I just wanted to mention that i think you have a great idea. It'll allow me to see what the forums consensus on design is.

 

I just had a look again at your project.

I look at some of these designs, and i am seeing 1 and 2 stars for directories that stand out. For example abilogic is a great looking directory. how in the hell does it get 1 star? hahaha

Are the people voting just being spiteful because they cannot provide a better template for themselves and have to use the already washed up same templates several thousand directories already use?

 

need more people that can appreciate the value of good design to visit the website and vote.
