Directory Creation & Vistors to it

    Hi All,
    I want to launch a directory and wanted to know what is required to make the directory (dmoz, joeant etc) popular, as I guess, the general social marketing would not help here and some other method of marketing will required.

    Will appreciate your valuable suggestions.

    Just build a quality directory and build some good backlinks.

    Do not approve just anyold website in it,make sure they are family friendly quality websites

    i saw php link directory script... wat all scripts are available other than that..!!

    @Choice: I guess Backlinking could be only done with other 'directorys-of-directory' not to blogs or forums, correct? What are other methods than backlinking?
