Coming up, guys. Go surprise me. sponsors, keep adding your contributions here http://frogengine.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4815#post4815
The results seem to be at a stand still. google has'nt done much the past few days and I have noticed a drop in the result count. Wonder what google is up to.
Right, the PR update happened, but there is no change in rankings. I wonder if that will happen within the next month or so. It should (according to my experiences with G).
Is it just me or do you studder , you have posted the same thing twice. Anyway google use to do updates only every now and then with rankings but they have been updating the system like this for awhile now. Hope they at least wait until the contest is over before they decide to just stop udating rankings, I just pointed quite a few thousand links at the my contest page so this would suck for me if it stayed this way for while.
Treat the listing like you would any regular, featured or details page listing and see where in Google you show up. You have a week to become number 1. Go for it
Ah so when the contest is over #1 for "directorycontest.com" term in google will win prize? How do I sign up for this?
Just add the url to your directory as a regular, featured or detail page listing. You can get incoming links from other sites, but on the directory itself, it just needs to be listed like any other site would be in that category. If you shoot up and we see you on top, we will get to you on D Day .
Lol sorry I must sound like an idiot. I thought I could just make a page SEO'ed for that term and see if it ranks high but oh well. I guess you could just give me the prize money in good will. Hehe, kidding. thanks for explaining
All of the top 15 entries just about have got a PR5 on the entry pages including me, once the contest is over I will be happy to exchange links with anyone else who has a PR5 directory page. Blogmaster once the contest is over RU going to launch a directory on the domain name, I reckon it would be a good idea, you deserve to get something out of this after all of the hard work you have put in!
Thanks, Dave. Not quite sure yet what I will do with it, but it will be something. And a directory would definitely be a good idea. - Mike
A directory may not be a bad idea. But if you do it, you should give all the directories that finished in the top 100 a free listing.
