    If I want to build a directory say like DMOZ but just niche oriented, what is the best software to use?

    Thanks, I did read another thread with some suggestions but was not sure if we were talking about the same thing.

    I've read that Zeus directories are penalized by engines (whatever that means....). Is it a bad idea to use a directory script? We were condsidering just developing our own directory management system....
