I was told I can't have google adsense in my directory because there are porn categories in it. Is that true?

Logically it's true as in TOS, google does not want to associate with any P0rn site.

But it says no porn contents, not links.

I think you can interpret "no porn content" as "nothing related to porn in any way". ;)

You're better off with adbrite if you have adult-orientated content/links, but to be honest PPC isn't the best way to make money from a directory. If you offer something different and original, a reason for people to use your directory over others then requiring a small submission fee would be a good way to make money, e.g. standard links $1, reciprocal $0, featured $3, express & featured $6, etc. That is, do it scaled in terms of time to process the submission & also the kind of link it is.

Try to put Adsense on the page and it'll probably give you PSAs in any case if it senses too many porn keywords. That's one of Google's Stop Words.

If you're not then look at your logs, maybe they're was a higher than usual level of traffic. Be polite with them. Read ysf1's blog where there are some tips on what to do to try and get unbanned. It MIGHT work, but if you did actually click ads or tell people to then it won't work at all.

It was not higher than usual, I was getting on average 5 clicks per-week.

I reckon it would be ok as the general theme of your website is not porn related. Bit of a grey area though.

did you notice any regular pattern in traffic? which sites did you have adsense on? any forum you have that maybe didn't have adsense but the members know about your other sites which did?

If you're innocent, don't give up yet... and did you read yfs1's blog?

Yes I did have a increase in traffic. I had adsense on most of my websites. I did a repleal for google, I will see what will happen. But it does not matter anyway, I was not making much from the adsense anyway, about $10 a month. Btw I tryed to go on www.ysf1.com but its not working right now.

No some other reason, they claimed I was clicking on my own ads.
