Directory ages !!

Wondering and trying to get at some numbers regarding the age of a directory and how long it stays with same owner.

To start off i got h-log.com since 2006, same with sbclansite.com (it however did get a database wipeout once due to spam issues) both been running since 2006.

Thats like 3 Years give or take .

What about you guys and your directories ?

 

Around 2 and a half years for mine.

 

CannyLink was started in 1997.

I am the second owner and have had it about six years now.

 

I started www.dirwizard.com in Sept 2006 and still in my hands.

 

I put up a general directory as a "proof of concept" in 2005 with a directory script. Then spent the next year writing custom software for my first niche directory which went up in 2006.

 

Bam Directory is about 2.5 years old now.

 

All my directories are running rock solid from 2006 and one from 2005.

 

I started searchbuster in 2006, still have it today, been through the ups and downs.

 

Ok so average is about 3 years, how many of you guys want to get rid of their directories ? Plans on selling them ?

What sort of revenue have your directories created for you ?

Well i think both of mine have provided me with atleast 1500 $ revenue or more so .. But running cost over 2 years i think has been around 300 or 400$ !

 

Rid of my directories? Out of question! Ofcourse I do keep buying quality and work with good people.

 

Allthelink.com is 4 years old now

 

So my directory must be the youngest here since its only around four months old.

May 2006 ... Biz-King Directory was created

July 2006... Sleek Directory Bought and site promoted

I hooked up with domain name that was 4 yrs old...

It had alot of inbound links attatched to it.
