I was kinda puzzled about the reciprocal deal also

 

Nothing puzzling about the recip price, or that there is even a price.
I lowered prices on regular and featured, not the recips.

Now my reasoning for recip prices...
It cuts down on the recip spamming, it cuts down on those sites that don't want to pay but want a recip. And the recip link for my site is so buried, that one would never find it. So why should I give free recips for a buried link?

 

Not bad logic there -- may adopt that policy for recips at my dir. I still get alot of those mental midgets who apply for basic free with recip and then don't leave a recip url
