Does traffic range increases in directories? if so why cant we have an open directory...?

 

Which kind of open directory you want to have ?
All directories are open for search information.

 

If you want to traffic from directory, you should try to submit SB from listed directory..

yup, it is correct that directories are to generate the back-links ... and back links are very helpful to improve the ranking of the website. i believe that if we've the quality backlinks than it will improve the ranking as well.

You will no more have success from building a linking strategy from directories only than you will from advertising your business in only one medium.

A good link strategy requires that you utilize multiple outlets. Just like any other marketing/advertising you do requires you utilize multiple advertising mediums.

 

Not sure we understand your question. Directories can help with direct traffic but it really depends on the directory.

 

if you post in the High PR directories. then you will get some valuable links. these links will increase the position of your site in Google or thenr search engines.so ultimately it increases the traffic.

I think most of the links cannot carry multi traffic to your websites, but they are helpful for your keywords ranking, it is known.

Ya traffic does increases when you're submitting your website to directories, but its a gradual process and you have to wait for a considerable amount of time as each directory has their own guidelines and approval process.

You should also try other ways to get quick traffic to your website which include forum postings, social bookmarking, article submissions, blog commenting, guest blogging etc.

Also suggest you to try out Niche Submissions as they are very much valued by search engines and can get you targeted traffic from relevant sources.
