Directories with NO FOLLOW links GOOD in term of SEO

    Hello,

I like to ask about free directory submission with NO FOLLOW link good or bad in terms of SEO if we submit our links to them. I saw some directories that have No Follow links and some directories have free regular links.

    My questions are:

    1. Why no follow links? do we get any benefit on our site if we submit to these types of directories?
    2. For directories that offer free regular links, how do we know that they offer real free links? or hidden NO FOLLOW links?

    Thanks,
    Have a nice day!

No follow wont pass PR of course, they may give you like 1 or 2 clicks a month but there is little benefit in terms of rankings.

no-follow directories are .. in one word.. USELESS ! End of story !

I've seen some directory owners that choose as an Option : "No Reciprocal Link - NO-Follow" ... and a few of those directories were quite new.. and without many visitors.

IMHO .. it's useless to list your website in such directory, doesn't worth those 30 seconds that you spend on submitting your site in such directories. I also have some bad words about such directories owners, who loose their time and their visitors offering such no-follow backlinks , in fact.. the MAIN reason webmasters put their links in directories: the back-links.

Just look at the source code for the submissions and see if rel=nofollow is included in the links.

Aside from checking the source code manually, you can also use search status adds on to help you instantly determine if those directories provide dofollow on their links.

No follow wont help your PR, but it may help other facets of your efforts.

Although No-follow will not pass any Pr it will still count as a backlink and all backlinks help serps.
