Has anyone has any success with a particular paid directory that brings them good traffic. If so can you please list the directory as well as the daily amount of traffic the directory brings your website..
Even DMOZ and Yahoo! don't send me much traffic. Maybe a visitor or two a month from DMOZ. I don't think any other directory has sent me any at all in recent years. Directories are pretty much out.
As everyone said, I never seen any directories that bring good traffic to your site. Better use other marketing method like articles marketing or blog commenting.
I don't agree with any of you guys. I have several websites which get anywhere between 20-80 UV/day from directories. The thing is that these are genuine directories that do not exist only for PR and they are all local for my region. The more close the directory is to your niche and geo location I think you have a better option for traffic.
General directories are worthless in traffic terms. No one uses them. Maybe you get some link juice out from them. I might use some niche directory if it's really used by customers (has real aurhority). There aren't much them.
