Not all of directories lost PR.

Directory Dump, Gii, Excellent guide, Bigweblinks, MingleOn all gained PR. MingleOn had actually gone to PR5 in last update and is back to PR6 in this update.

So, I do not think Google is targeting directories.

No need to red rep and lose 1 point. He should be banned soon if he goes on like this anyway :)

The phrase 'stfu noob' comes to mind, but I'm too polite for that.

OP don't you think it is wise you edit your OP as it is not appropriate to quote a directory and say it is going down without being able to substantiate what you are saying

Make a generic statement by all means
But never make a specific statement unless you can back up that statement
Thanks can you please edit to a generic statement

And I will be reporting you to the mods

I don't want to talk about any specific site, but I think once you hit 7 there are going to be google employees checking your site at some point, and they need to like what they see. I'm sure there are several things they look for when making a decision that only they know. So the question becomes:
What can you do to make sure your site passes the human test? What would a google employee want to see? What are some things they would not want to see?

So do you think that PR is the most important criteria when it comes to which directory you submit to?

"i don't submit to directories, for me they are useless." - Instead of making a blanket negative statement without any facts to back it up why don't you tell us why you think they are useless, what you do instead of submitting to directories and listing some of your sites so we can see how successful your alternate ideas are doing for you?

"What can you do to make sure your site passes the human test? What would a google employee want to see? What are some things they would not want to see?" - My guess is that once you hit PR7 they want to see age of the site and how long it has been in it's current incarnation.

If they are useless then why are you concerned with our section?

I agree you may ask whatever question you wish but starting useless threads doesnt help anything but only waste our time and time is money ;)

Maybe before being in such a hurry to post you could take a few minutes and reflect on exactly what you wish to ask or have answered...

    thx
