Directories not showing up in Backlink checker?

Hey everyone, I run http://getcredit365.com and im having an issue...

I just checked my backlinks with iWebtools backlink checker and I have only about 15 backlinks. Checking AWStats and going back to September I have at least 40+. The wierdest part is that last month I paid for submission to 12 paid directories from a DP member and only 2 of them are showing up now on iWebtools checker. Ive visited all of the directories and my sites are there and active.

What would cause those directories as well as other sites not to show up as backlinks now?

Go to yahoo search and type:

    “linkdomain:getcredit365.com site:www.ask-dir.com”

where you replace www.ask-dir.com with the name of the directory you whish to check. if it’s listed will show the links

    example:

    "linkdomain:getcredit365.com site:www.vxbox.com" shows 1 link

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=li...e:www.vxbox.com&prssweb=Search&ei=UTF-8&x=wrt

if the page is not cached with yahoo I doesn’t show, normally you must wait from 1 week to 1 month for the page to be cached.

Some directories are just bad and dont get crawled often :) Or they are just that bad that their links are not counted at all? :p

I just checked the domains against their respective IPs, all of them except for 2 are the same...

Does this pretty much mean that paying for all of those directories was pointless and I could have done the same amount of good by paying for submission to only 3 of those directories with different IPs?

All the practical prove I have till today suggests that google at least for page rank doesn’t care with same IP.
I know some sites that have high PR and links came from several sites hosted in the same IP.
But will be best if you get from different IP’s.
At my directory I have a unique IP only for this directory but there are some high quality that use shared ip with other directories like octopedia that shares at least with other 2 directories :p.

Only directories that have the page you were submitted to cached and regularly are going to give you any link value at all. Google has bumped many directories to supplemental or does not cache most of the pages of many directories. A quick check of the topic page with the Google toolbar of the topic of your submission will tell you if the directory can offer you any link value. If it’s not cached don’t submit.

This really goes to show you what a waste of time submitting to many of the free ones really is.

It seems that pretty much only the directories you pay for work (but not all the time).

now that my directory has been indexed for over a year, pretty much all the pages show, new categories take about 2-3 days to get indexed.

Submiting to webdirectorys is not pointless but it must be done by yourself or by someoane that is good at this and don't charge few dollars "you get what you pay for"

    Superb tool : http://www.domain-pop.com/backlink-check.php
