    Hi;

    As we know google has started to give punishments for most of the directories.

    But did you care that all the directories which get punishment were made php link directory script? Is this the end of php link directory?

    What do you think about this?

    Thanks

    you mean google is declaring them as link farm.
    I dont think they will make any directory if it has lot of back link or good Pagerank.

    That is incorrect. All the directories effected do not use phpLinkDirectory.

    This is a second time someone blames the script for the Google actions.
    There is no connection what so ever and like Chris said from the long list directories affected by the latest events only part was using script you mention.

    That is incorrect too. Directories were affected no matter what script used.
    This is hand made penalty. Only to those directories that were promoted heavily.
    I still see tons of rubbish directories, or those not promoted so much still well indexed.
    And do not notice any live changes to it from weeks (apart DMOZ :D)
    Also noticed for some affected directories that made some minor changes - they stopped deindexing.
    Even site raised a little bit first time. Keep an eye on that.

    I don't think phpld script has something to do with Google penalizing some of the directories.

    To me, it seems that those directories that seemed to get penalized are mostly very popular ones, not based on what script they run with. It is unfortunate to see this happening, and I would like to know why they got penalized.

    I think it is inappropriate as it flares up a big discussion based on something thats not true. Directories using all kinds of scripts have been penalized... a little reading or searching would have found this. BTW how do you get to over 11k posts and know so little?

    PS: i didn't red rep you if you wondered. :p
