    top two directories world wide are:
    - DMOZ - submission can take somewhere between several days to several years (dont forget to read the faq and submit only once).
    - Yahoo directory - annual recurring fee is 300$ US. You get more than one link. Yahoo has branches for different countries.

    chances to find a right category (education you say), are 100%. just look for it.
