    Extremely interesting.

The Microsoft directory hasn't been affected, but I haven't found an actual directory category.

It is interesting that they would nail part of Yahoo's directory. Yahoo makes big money on their directory while Google isn't losing anything from their directory. I bet Yahoo's lawyers are going to have a busy week.

The messenger must live, very nice find, thanks. Any guesses why? It seems one category has been targeted in all cases, Computers > Internet > Searching > Directories

It must be run by a DMOZ editor.

    `whois` says:

Thank you Air, for the heads up.

I just went and deleted my directories category in my new directory.
    Just to be safe. ;)

It could have to do with the directories that are listed on those pages that Google considered that list worthless overall.

    Nice catch.

Note it says (Our former directory has been retired)

(As you say - all sites currently listed in DMOZ are owned by editors)

wouldn't you say that this comment is kind of ignorant since no one in this thread has said such a thing?

My Directories category is also showing the same. Trouble is, I can't remember whether it had any PR before. It's one of the oldest categories, but is is fairly deep.
I think it should have a PR of 0 at least, not n/a (in Firefox)

I don't use the toolbar at all, the question is if Google indexes those pages or not. If the answer is no, there is a reason for it and in most cases ... the reason is not very good!
