It's always been called the 'Foolbar' - because it fools idiots into thinking it counts for something.

And it makes people think their site is worth more than it actually is - again fooling. Google likes to play games :)

The infraction/-reputation I just received for this post just goes to prove my theories are correct - a bunch of puppets having their strings pulled, for what, exactly?

Once I hit the submit button, I'm expecting to be banned - again, this only further proves the conspiracy exists. Hell, it ain't even a conspiracy anymore. I'm done.

That was a good article you had there, if you write it then you have my congrats! All i can say about the little green bar is that many visitors today look at it as a "brand sign" same like Nike, Puma, RBK, etc... It's something that many of us feel that "must have". Might be idiocracy or not but it's kida of "brand sign" that a good blog/site/directory or any kinda of web page should have, I found it funny but I call this little PR as "The Nike style for web pages" :)

Thanks for the kind words, and yes your absolutely correct on the mentality we have with 'Branding'. But as with any brand, they can be destroyed as quickly as they are built if people simply stop wearing them.

Subject of my next blog. :)
