Guys, Does anyone really get any hits on their site from directories. I mean I have to be honest: I'd never even heard of a directory until a few months ago and I think that's true of most web surfers. And if you don't get any hits from them, then what good are they (except as a resource for blogs by category)? Seriously, I can't believe they give you any decent backlinks either. I mean Google is smarter than that, aren't they? They're not just going to give you credit for just adding your name to some directory list that is no better than vanity publishing, right?
If your interested in gaining some visitors to your website I recommend trying marketmypressrelease.com It will also build hundreds of backlinks for you and you can track your hits as well and you can try it out free! Hope this helps.
You might get a few hits. But don't expect much traffic from directories. They are mostly used to build your pagerank.
You might get a bit of traffic but not a lot. However it cannot harm to have links and information about your site in as many places as possible.
Directories are the best source to get backlinks. But try to submit in some good directories. Sometimes you will get traffic from the directories. But best directories will improve the ranking of your website in google.
Okay, guys, I'll try it. I can't believe Google would be that stupid, but I'll try anything at this point...
